Motivation
Back in late 2008 my PC crashed, I have to re-install everything including XWA which I haven't touch for more than 5 years. After I got XWA back, I did have problem with multi-player game for two PC behind router with wireless connection. I went online searching for solution, luckily I found Darksaber's X-Wing Station. After DSUCP installed, I was overwhelmed by those high quality crafts. It gave the game a new life. Encouraged by TFTC, I started to learn XWA mods mostly from Darksaber's site. This site is hosted by Fader so that I can put my mods here for download. Hope everyone can enjoy it and give me you feedback. Let's also hope someday LucasArts will actually release new Xwing series game for all of us.

TFTC 8-13
Executable rar pack, you can change directory if you want partial installation.
Conversion Features:
- Battles 8-13 and training missions from the original TIE Fighter game.
- Fine tune missions, change shield and hull rate for some crafts, otherwise some missions will never success.
- Replacing Battle 1-7 Cutscenes to 8-13.
- All in-flight, commander briefing and briefing voices.
- Changes of TFTC*.dat to match up with mission picture. (for B8-13 only)
- All commander briefing text will be shown.
- Fixed few mission will crashed in briefing. (jcpierce suggested)
- Add in the last TIE Fighter score which is missing in Imperial XWA and TFTC. (by Fek’LeyrTarg)
- Xwingalliance.exe is wide screen patched, 1152X864=1360X768 (ref. XWA_widescreen).
- Mission bug fix (I'm not sure I fixed all missions)
If game crashed drung briefing, please use AlliED -> Briefing Editor -> Instruction list remove "ICON65535" line (suggested by jcpierce)
For some missions, you will need to jump out of combat area, or mission failed.
XWC3.1

Inspired by Xwing Redux. This project is just converting xwi files from English version of XwingCD into XWA mission files. Debriefing and radio message not exist, because original XwindCD do not have them.
Conversion Features:
- All missions including training and bonus missions were converted from XwingCD xwi files.
- All missions with voiced briefing. Requrie tools to enable this feature.
- All missions has been re-balanced and tested.
- Adding intro-cutscenes for each tour of duty which Redux didn’t include.
- Convert rest of cutscenes from Redux via DivXR 6.8 Codec for compatibility.
- Battle pictures (by cirsger) as well as mission pictures update
- Xwingalliance.exe is widescreen patched, 1152X864=1680X1050 (ref. XWA_widescreen).
- Music update. (by Fek’LeyrTarg)
- Integrated three missions from Battle of Yavin Shipset (by Red_Leader, ref.), audio briefing included.
- Adding Death Star OPTs. (EP, DST, DSS by Master Qui-Gon; DS by Hernan)
For some missions, you will need to jump out of combat area, or mission failed.
For T3M13 & 14, trench and surface were set friendly to aviod weapon jammed. You can set it as enemy but disabled will have the same effect (suggested by Red_Leader), that you will not get warning.

Multi-Player XWC3.1 download
XvT multiplayer mission pack
Conversion Features:
- All multiplayer missions from XvT & BOP were converted into XWA mission files.
- Generate skirmish files for multiplayer mode to match with all multiplayer missions.
There is only one wave allowed during the game even both tie and skm files were set more than one. It makes missions become very hard to be accomplished. Anyone have a fix please give me feedback.
XvT Conversion Imperial Part
After TFTC 8-13 and XWC project finished, conversion of XvT is a logical for my next move. Unlike XvT, for solo fly mission, XWA can only play one side so this pack has to split into two. Rebel part is under construction, this is imperial part which can under imperial XWA 1.1 form XWAUP
Conversion Features:
- All missions (battle, campaign, melee, training) were converted from XvT & BOP tie files.
- Training missions with voiced radio message (Require to copy files from XvT CD)
- Adding cutscenes for battle and campaign mode (converted by hip63)
- Battle pictures as well as mission pictures update (pictures from http://xwing.wz.cz/en_xvt_sc.htm )
- All battle and campaign & battle missions were tested with modification note and custom hints.
- Create executable bat files to swap installation, e.g. Execute PlayImpCampaign.bat to play campaign missions, that will copy necessary files to XWA directory, if your XWA is direction is not “C:\Program Files\LucasArts\XWingAlliance”, please edit bat files to match up.
Note: Original XvT allows T/I to load missile, which is not allowed in XWA. The out come is super-powered T/I for some missions. You can use mxvted to change weaponary of T/I or just unload missile by using AlliED. I was half way throught mission testing (playing) before I found this, not sure I fixed all of them. If you found any bug, please give me your feedback.
XvT Conversion Rebel Part
Progress was extremely slow for this conversion because some were too difficult, some have bug very hard to sort it out. Finally I finished with testing (playing) Rebel part of XvT missions under XWAUP high quality environment. Hope you can also enjoy playing this as I did.

Tie Fighter Conversion
The TFC project is an attempt to use modern X-Wing Alliance game engine to play Tie Fighter missions. Original work was done by TFTC team from http://www.tftc.gaylenol.com which ends in battle 7. I tried to make extension but there is bug that game will crash after certain mission number exceeds.
I found that making entire TFTC in one pack is not possible under imperial environment. I care more about gameplay than frontend, so this pack will be under “rebel” environment but cutscenes are all imperial. It’s not “Total” conversion, so I call it TFC.
More and more people reported in that voice files didn’t convert through under windows 7 x64, so I extracted all voices files so that you can upload to your XWA CD2, you can play full voiced missions.
Conversion Features:
- Battle 1-7 mission files were from TFTC
- All files in movies directory except for battle 8-13 cutscenes were from TFTC
- Battles 8-13 and training missions from the original TIE Fighter game.
- Convert Cutscenes 8-13 from TIE CD
- All in-flight, commander briefing and briefing voices including cloaking figure’s voices. Require tools to enable this feature. (Ref. Sec. 3.2)
- All commander briefing text will be shown.
- Hints voices will be right after commander briefing.
- Fixed few mission will crashed in briefing. (jcpierce suggested)
X-Wing Conversion 3.5 + XvT rebel part for X-Wing Alliance
Darksaber just released his UCP 2.0, like all software, there should be compatibility fix for new platform. Especially, DSUCP 2.0 includes no-cd patch, with that feature, you will not need to trick your XWACD2 to get X-W audio briefing.
Conversion Features:
- All X-W missions including training and bonus missions were converted from XwingCD xwi files.
- All X-W missions with voiced briefing. (default Ackbar)
- All XvT rebel part of missions (battle campaign, traning) were converted from XvT & BOP tie files.

X-Wing Conversion 4.0 + XvT rebel part for X-Wing Alliance
Fixed compatibility issue of XWC3.5 for GOG & DSUCP2.2. By selecting no-cd patch, you will not need to trick your XWACD2 to get X-W audio briefing. DSUCP2.2 contains DTMSB which reall give this old game a new life.
New Features:
- Including XvT training voice wave files.
- Revised all missions files to enable DTMSB.
In order to make trench missions work, I have to patch exe flies. If you like to keep your shiplist intact, there is instruction in readme file.
Tie Fighter Conversion v2.0
Please install DSUCP 2.2 first and select no-cd patch & imperial hanger. You will not need to trick your XWACD2 to get X-W audio briefing. DSUCP2.2 contains DTMSB which is worthy for replay this epic game all over again.
New Features:
- Hints voices will be right after commander briefing.
- Fixed some bugged mission files.
- All missions filed are modified to fit with DTMSB upgarde.
XvT multiplayer mission pack 3.3beta
Conversion Features:
- All multiplayer missions from XvT & BOP were converted into XWA mission files.
- Modify mission files so that all players can view briefing before entering hanger.
- Generate skirmish files for multiplayer mode to match with all multiplayer missions.
- Include voice files from XvT Flight school. (Only training mission was voiced from XvT)
- Include DTM’s superbackdrops in each mission file. (Requires XWAUCP1.3 or DSUCP2.2)
Justatai contacted me few weeks ago, he used ram editor to wrote a program which can simplify the procedure introduced by StarLord. The program can swap temp.tie into combat mission. This opens a door to let classical XvT upgrade into modern game play as well as custom missions. Justagai also constructed XWA copp mod. He also helped me with testing and fix lots of issue.
Most important of all, only host need to run this program, other players can just sit back and enjoy. Even for host, mission selection is as easy as single mission. All players can watch briefing prior to launch. (So far we can only watch one version of briefing, i.e. if you are with imperial, you will also watching rebel briefing, since AlliED can only allow one version of briefing exist, we do not have solution for this so far)
Although XWA does support multiplayer, but multiplayer mission is just way to simple, XvT contains lots of good missions, but the graphic just not up-to-date. Thanks for XWAUP team kept on upgrading XWA so that we can enjoy the game in high quality mode. There is no reason to limit high quality game play in single player mode. So I revised my XvTmulitplayer pack and now is available on my website (link below). With DTM's superbackdrops, this game just becomes amazing.
For multiplayer XWA, all player need to have identical files in \FLIGHTMODELS\, \RSDATA\, \MISSIONS\ otherwise, it will become unplayable. Variation will be made as you were choosing different options during installation of DSUCP (or XWAUCP). Therefore, we need to setup a standard to play, which will be default options for DSUCP2.2 or XWAUCP1.3, also 1600X1200 tie cockpit.
However, mission isn't perfect so far, especially for the location of backdrops (sun, planets, nebula..), which is equal to create a new world. This requires a great deal of time and efforts. So I setup a facebook association named "XWA Multiplayer MIssion Center" so that everyone can post their opinion or join editing. Also, setup schedule to play game together. Please join us if you want to enjoy this game all over again in high quality mode.

X-Wing Conversion 5.0 + XvT rebel part for X-Wing Alliance
Fixed compatibility issue for XWAUP 2020 Ver. 4.0. Eiditng all mission files and applied superbackdop.
XWAUP includes VR game mode which I really recommend everybody should try it. I tested PSVR (via iRvy & Steam VR), and Trinus cardboard with smartphone. Trinus PSVR didn't work that well on my PC due to drifting.
Even if you do not have VR kit, you can still enable IR Track. By using AITrack & Opentrack. Please reference here. It becomes essential for A-W & B-W, with HUD disabled, you will need to "look down" to read radio and mission instructions. You will have to select "Use TrackIR by Natural Point" from Baku Frik's Configuration.
